As we approach this wonderful seasonal transition from the dark of winter to the light of Spring – consider it a great opportunity to tune into your angels. Are you feeling you just don’t know how to begin that challenge that has been growing? Ask your angels. Listen to that first voice – it is your guidance. The next “voice” you hear – is Ego.
You know, the “voice” that says “you can’t do this. What are you thinking!!” That is not angelic guidance. That is f.e.a.r. working against your desires.
Embrace your opportunities this spring. And, ask the angels for Help.
This simple little post as we approach Christmas, 2009. The angels love Christmas. They look down on us, here on Earth, and they see millions of twinkling little lights. They do not know what it means to be human, but many of them are so curious they find a way to reincarnate among us. Do you know any living angels?
Get Some Balance
Manhattan Angel is feeling a little under the weather this Christmas week of 2009. Disappointing, but illness – as they say – is metaphor.
I drew a card from Carolyn Myss’s Healing Cards deck this morning.
“To heal illness, begin by restoring balance. Today, find ways to create balance in your life. Cast all negativity in a positive light, and let go of any fears that block the flow of vital energy within your body, mind, and spirit.”
I admit, I was letting stress into my life more than I wanted. Some ‘day job’ changes created a good amount of stress and deadline angst. But, that is merely a reminder that a) I wish to have less stress in my life and b) build up my stress relievers to a higher degree – so that I can tolerate it. The Cold is the angels way of saying: STOP!! Take a breath. Drink some water. Get your sleep. And work towards balance.
Thank you, angels.
The angels are ever-present in your life. You need only ask for their help — even simply saying “help” will draw their divine presence to your side.
We are in a period of release and attraction. Let go of the bonds that have tied you to a life that is puzzling and confounding you. In its place, you will find kindness, creativity and great things ahead.
You have the power to visualize and set the intention for the positive things that lie ahead for you. If you want help in your journey, and the strength to find your own guidance — I am here to assist you.
On Mt. St. Helens
Great idea for vacationing. While you are on vacation, write yourself a postcard. That way, when you return, you get a beautiful reminder of how you were feeling at one moment on your vacay.
The angels really do work in such miraculous ways. For so many of my clients — and (as is always the case) – for myself, I say – ‘if you have any challenges in contacting the angels, or in hearing/seeing/feeling/knowing their messages — just ask them to come into your dreams, and do their work.
I decided to put that practice to work for myself one week. I said – as I often do, hands on my hips in a demanding fashion (thank you, God, for giving me kick-ass angels) — okay – come into my dreams.
Two nights later, I had the most vivid dream about a former friend from my hometown, she was my best friend in high school. We giggled together, found ways to spend time together when everyone else but us went to the prom. She is a brilliant, funny, witty woman. We had a parting of the ways that made more sense to her than it ever did to me.
In this dream, I was visiting her, and I met a young man who was really attracted to me. It was one of those sexy type dreams. Even though I was visiting with her, I wanted to go with this dude. So, I did. Later in the dream, she came to me with a letter to tell me – that she had forgiven me.
In a strange, profound way, that dream screamed to me: forgive yourself for those relationships that didn’t work.
Rambling. But, true.
What can I say. to be in Italy is to be in the presence of angels. They are everywhere you look.
There is nothing like a vacation, to bring perspective to life. Even a learning vacation, like the one I just experienced in Hawaii. I went to study with Dr. Doreen Virtue: two different seminars. One in Mediumship, the other in Advanced Techniques for Angel Therapy Practitioners®.
The mediumship was beyond my expectations. I learned specific methods for calling upon departed loved ones. But most significantly, I gained confidence in my psychic abilities. There were just 20 of us, which meant a great deal of personal attention from our mentor, Doreen Virtue. We practiced, laughed, cried, did healing work on ourselves, and — well, there’s just no better way to say it: talked to dead people. It was cool!!! It was not, as one might think, morbid at all. It was the realization that they’re just like us — in a different dimension. Obtuse, stubborn, loving, lovable. You know, like live people.
I did this wonderful thing while on vacation. In one of my most peaceful moments, I went to a quiet spot with a postcard that evoked my surroundings. I recorded my feeling at that very moment and wrote (to myself) remember this moment forever. Then I sent it. A week or so later, I opened my mailbox. By that moment, much of the vacation glow had dimmed. But, reading my message thrust me immediately in to that moment of peace.
I highly recommend it.
And, remember the end of something is merely the opportunity – for a new beginning.
When you’re looking for a sign, how do you know when you’ve found it? Ha ha! That does sound funny, doesn’t it? Because a sign should be that — “hello-look-over-here-I’M A SIGN!!!” – kind of experience. Or, should it?
Certainly, when you ask for a sign and you see something that resonates with you, there’s no doubt that there’s your message. But, I don’t find that it always works like that. Sometimes I see something that I fervently want to be a sign. I give it meaning when perhaps its just a collection of words. Or, a statement that I *think* is a sign, but maybe not so much. I admit, I want signs to scream at me.
Perhaps that’s the challenge. When I ask the Angels for a sign next time, I’ll ask them to send me a sign that SCREAMS at me!
Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Boy, that has several meanings!
I am in the process of literally, figuratively and spiritually listening to my own voice. The literally part: I have launched a blog radio show with a lightworker friend – Amy – called, appropriately the “AMY AND JANET SHOW” — you can hear it every Tuesday morning at 11am Eastern Time. It is hosted by blogtalkradio.com Check it out — its pretty cool. The subtitle of the show is “the ramble show” — it is Amy and I talking about what we are guided to discuss. Its like listening in to – if I may be immodest — a fascinating conversation between two interesting people.
I am also working to listen to my inner guidance. Am I doing the work I should be doing, is my life moving to its next challenge in a timely fashion. Am I talking so much that I can’t even listen? That’s the spiritual “listening” that I’m grappling with right now. Truth be told, my angels are screaming to me (mine tend to do that — as I hinted, sometimes I’m talking so much I can’t listen) – change, make changes in your life. Be happy. Don’t worry. (insert lyrics here).
And the figurative listening — is – ‘put myself into the readiness’ of receiving. Do not be afraid to receive. It is when we stubbornly follow our PLANS rather than our PATH – that we veer away from what makes us happy.
Or, as I said on this week’s Amy and Janet show. Sometimes we are looking so hard for the Grand Plan – that we miss the simple truth.
