Synchronicity

I love synchroncity.  It is one of those daily reminders from the angels on just how they work.  I had made some tentative plans to go the shore for Memorial Day weekend (the two-day version – of course I work on Monday).  The plans didn’t work out.  Thank God!!  I ended up with two unplanned days, a rarity for someone who overschedules herself.

I called some friends to see if they might be free for the weekend, but they weren’t even home.  Just as I hung up from leaving them a message, I suddenly got a text.  Hmmmm — that was quick, thought I.  But when I read the text, I saw it was from the dear friend with whom I experienced 9/11 – when we were both in Rome at the time.  I immediately texted him back – and he says – that was quick!  We laughed.  And, made plans for Sunday.

That left Saturday free – to do some errands, visit the farmers market and then put my attentions to my website work.  Which I had put off for the longest time.  It took me well into the night and past midnight.  I didn’t get to bed until 2 a.m.  But, the website is a beautiful thing (www.angelsalon.com)  And, my visit with my friend on Sunday would never had happened if I’d been out of town.

Thank you angels.  Ain’t synchronicity grand?

The Amy and Janet Show

There’s a new sensation in the Blogosphere — Blog Radio.  And, I am happy to say that I have joined the online revolution.

Friends will laugh to hear me embracing blogs of any sort.  A little history here.  It was in 2001 — pretty much before blogs were even around.  Well, they started popping up in the late 90’s but few people talked about them.  Anyway, I created a website called rulingwoman.com  It was my way to keep in touch with friends during the three months I lived in Rome.  Word spread - among my friends at least, and sometime around the turn of the century (circa 2002) – some would comment “oh I LOVE your blog.”  And, I would seethe: “It’s not a blog!!! It’s a website!!!!”

I digress.  Anyway — I have started a radio blogcast – The Amy and Janet Show – with a sister Angel Therapist®.  Amy is a gifted lightworker and quite a brilliant thinker.  On a lark (or, one might say, guided by the angels) I proposed we dive right in and do a thirty-minute talk show.  Mostly a conversation between friends.  Or, as one of our first listeners called it:  a “ramble.”  It is actually pretty cool.  And, on the very first outing, we even had a caller.  That amazed us.  We didn’t think anyone was even listening.

Tuesday 26 August we did our second show.  I admit I was much more nervous about this one.  I was already exhausted from working doubles at my day job, then I slept poorly.  I open my frig to get some water and bump a bottle of root beer.  It flew off the shelf and shattered into pieces, leaving in its wake: shards of rootbeer-colored glass floating in icky, sticky, carbonated diet RB.  I jumped into the shower for a quick refresh so I could dash for work immediately after the show.  All by way of painting a picture of my rather frantic state when I approached my radio “switchboard” just five minutes before the show.

I use a headset with microphone (purchased from my late father’s FAVE store: Radio Shack) and use Skype™ to place the call.  I’m sure there is a free, more effective way to use a headset to call through the internet.  But, Skype™ seemed to work for me.  That is, until this particular Tuesday — for our second blogcast.   Here I was, already crazed, now running around trying to figure out how to start the show.  I certainly knew I did not want to make an hour-long phonecall on my wireless home phone.  So, I used my ol’ cellulare.  Tinny sound.  Dying battery.  Frantic host.

I hear the show was a hit!

Dowsing with Kat

I had the pleasure of attending Kat’s workshop in Dowsing at the Chopra Center at Dream in Manhattan.  It was a beautiful Sunday to spend the afternoon with high energy, meditation, the angels and, probably the best thing of all: Kat’s beautiful voice.  While going through our chakras, base to crown, Kat assigned a particular sound to each one.  She would sing the proper tone for each chakra.  And, we responded.  It was like spending fifteen minutes with the angels.

I shall not reveal any of the personal revelations from the group of both men and women, because we took an oath of confidentiality.  But, the group was as varied as it was interesting.  Kat healed us all with her special energy.

I had taken Kat’s workshop in Dowsing on Mother’s Day, 2008 – with my sister ATP® Renee.  I have two pendulums purchased from Stick, Stone and Bone on Christopher Street. LOVE that place.  One is rose quartz, the other jasper.

Programming your pendulum is so cool.  Ask it – what is “yes” (and watch how it moves) and what is “no.”

There is so much about dowsing I don’t know, I shan’t presume to explain it much further than that.

But, just to say:  it was a lovely, lovely Sunday!

My First Post

Welcome to Manhattan Angel – temporary home for the Angel Salon® — a healing collective of Angel Therapists®, certified by Dr. Doreen Virtue.  We are as eclectic as we are spiritual.  We practice Integrated Energy Therapy®, Reiki, automatic writing, crystal healing, Feng Shui and Dowsing.  Just to name a few.

The Angel Salon® was founded in 2007 by an ATP® named Janet – and quickly grew to a group of six.  We began our practice at the T Salon in the Chelsea Market, then took off the summer of 2008 to relax, grow, and contemplate.

We look forward to spiritual healing - our mantra being “how can I serve” and always want to hear from you.
